…it’s practically here!
Well, tomorrow is the big day, and I hope you’re having some fun today. After all, Christmas Day is usually mayhem. I like to settle in on Christmas Eve and watch a couple of my favourite seasonal movies. I also like to prep a little breakfast for Christmas morning. I make a breakfast strata, inspired by Karen MacInerney’s ‘Gray Whale Inn’ series. It’s a simple casserole that you can whip up on Christmas Eve and then bung in the oven the next morning and let it cook away while you sip your Bailey’s and coffee!
It’s time to buckle up and enjoy the family, the noise, the turkey, and the treats. I know the next few days can be busy, but just take a deep breath and immerse yourself in the celebrations. After all, the people gathered around the table are the ones who matter most -including you, lovely.
Bob Hope said it best:
“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”
So, we’re popping a little popcorn tonight, putting on cuddly socks and snuggling up by the fire to watch a couple of movies.
