I’ve been musing about the place I’m at right now. For one, I’m mere days away from publishing The Moose, the Murder, and the Single Malt, which I am very excited to accomplish. This is a long-held goal for me, even though it took me a long time to admit it out loud.
By the way, I’m setting up a little giveaway to coincide with the launch of my book, so keep an eye out on the blog here, or you can follow me:

But I digress. Enough shameless plugs.
When You’re Not
I am a big believer in creating the kind of life one desires to live. But to tell the truth, I’m only just beginning to put that into practice. So I’m not in my own place yet, and much as I’d love to have a kitchen garden and eat home-grown organic veggies, I’m doing well to keep an aloe plant alive. What I’m trying to let you know is that I’ve got a lot of work to do, too. Don’t assume that just because I’m writing about it, I’ve got it all figured out. I’m plenty determined, though, so I know I’ll get there.
The point is that it’s okay to not have everything figured out so long as you’re still doing the work.
The Most Important Work
The best thing anyone can do is to play with different elements of what they desire in their lives. Explore and experiment, because this is how we can begin to create our desires.
Better still, learn to make the best where you are right now. This is a philosophy that we’ve gotten away from over the last few years. Perhaps, like me, you’re not living in your dream house. Okay, that’ll come so long as you keep your goals in view. In the mean time, enjoy the house you live in right now. Even if it’s cramped and cluttered, make it as charming and personal and pleasant as you’re able. You will be amazed by what happens when you stop straining over what you don’t have, and instead focus your heart and energy on what you have got.
